We disappeared into one another

We disappeared into one another.

I wonder from my empty bed

What I’d done

To deserve this time of solitude.

This time of being alone, companionless.

I act with purpose,

But stumble from uncertainty to uncertainty.

What lessons to learn?

What lessons lost?

We disappeared into one another.

Without you I am not whole.

Slowly rebuilding my wholeness.

Learning to enjoy the silence.

Searching for comfort in certainty.
