The Real American Donald

A generation riding easy with Fonda looking for themselves;

Searching for America. A notion they never found.

A nation they could only define in a Springsteen chorus.

These lost souls look to Donald to make them great…again.

They are still looking for their America;

The world’s Policeman, the good in the fight against evil.

A nation of bigger bombs and moon landings.

Standing confident in its rightful place

Dominant on land, sea, air and space,

That promised prosperity and comfort

In return for your blood, sweat and tears.

Tragically, in their search all they find is

Their own poor, unfulfilled, fast food lives.

They turn to Donald to give their twilight years

A Hollywood ending.

Little do they realise that the real American Donald

Is a Duck!
