Going Nowhere Fast

I’ve been to Paris, Geneva and Singapore

I’ve been knocked down so many times but I just get up for more.

Spent a lot of time in traffic going nowhere fast.

Worked the midnight oil and watched the hours tick past.

Lead discussion groups in Asia and destruction groups at home.

Climbed the hill to Mont Martre to see its ivory dome.

I’ve never worked so hard for very little result,

Never fought so hard against fault laiden insult.

I wonder sometimes if I am just there for the sport

And how much better I’d go if I only had some support.

Sometimes battle weary, battle hardened to say the least,

Sometimes quite and subdued, but they’ll never tame the beast.
