Daniel & I in Newcastle

We lay under a tree, you and me

And looked up at the wide blue sky.

It was a field of blue with not a cloud in view

As we lay, you and I.

We looked through the tree, you and me

At a pattern of brown and green.

The breeze sort of knew that we had nothing to do

On a day that was crisp and clean.

We lay in the sun having some fun

As we tickled and prodded and annoyed.

On the grass, you and me, down by the sea

On a day thoroughly enjoyed.
