Long Reef

Waves roll and crash over the rocks.

The wind blows strong and blustery.

The beach stretches gold to the south

With the golf course rolling green to the west.

I can feel you here,

At peace with the hawks hovering in the breeze.

You are carried on the wind,

Sustained by the salt spray.

Deep within the scrub

You overlook your favourite childhood beach

Father and daughter

Watching over us, guiding our hand.
